"The immigrants" 1972 depicts the arrival and settlement of Swedish immigrants in America during the 19th and early 20th century. The plate is a limited edition of 5,000 copies. Gustavsberg became known for their porcelain in 1825. Since then, their Designers have produced many tableware classics, the most iconic - the 'Berså' collection. The company is still located in the small village of Gustavsberg, Stockholm. This plate was designed by Sven Jonson who worked at the factory from 1934-1981. Slight marks on back from plate hangers. Diameter: 21.5cm.
